I'll dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
